Check your vehicle status, for example the mileage, fuel range, or average consumption, all in one app without leaving your breakfast table.
With the Porsche Connect App and in My Porsche you can also check whether the sliding roof is still open or the luggage compartment is locked correctly. In addition, you can access important information such as the tire pressure or the current service interval in order to maintain the safety standards of your Porsche.
Data Protection Notice
Service: Car Control
Using the "Car Control" service, you can access information about the current technical status of your vehicle via My Porsche and your Porsche Connect app.
When the service is activated, the wireless interface for vehicle-related services of your vehicle logs on to our system with the vehicle identification number. We need this information to be able to assign your vehicle to your user account and to check its authorization to use the service.
To provide you with information on the current technical status of your vehicle, your vehicle also transmits the remaining range, vehicle position, vehicle orientation, tank level, mileage, service information (for oil and main service), locking status, door, window, front hood and tailgate (open/closed), parking light status (on/off), oil level, and warnings that are displayed on your vehicle. A transmission takes place each time the ignition is switched on and off, when doors or flaps of your vehicle are opened or closed, at specified battery levels and at your request, by requesting the vehicle data via My Porsche and your Porsche Connect app.
The information transmitted by your vehicle is stored in our system to display the vehicle data. The information is displayed in My Porsche as well as in your Porsche Connect app. The above-mentioned data is also stored in our system, with the exception of combined warnings, in order to allow you unrestricted access to it. The last known status is always stored in our system and overwritten when the status is changed.
We use service providers commissioned by Porsche to display the current technical status of your vehicle in My Porsche and in your Porsche Connect app. Please note that servers of the service providers on which data is processed as part of the service may also be located outside the European Union or the European Economic Area. In order to establish a connection to your device, a time-limited authorization key is exchanged between the servers of the service providers and your device. When the vehicle location is requested via My Porsche and via your Porsche Connect app, the location data for which a map display is requested and the desired map radius will be transmitted from your device to the service provider's servers. Based on the transferred location data and the desired map radius, the service providers determine the corresponding maps for the respective area and transfer them to your device for display.
As a database for creating anonymized usage statistics, we store every service call by your vehicle or your customer interface together with your vehicle identification number and a time stamp for a period of 12 months.
By activating the private mode in the system settings of the PCM (Porsche Communication Management = central control unit for audio, navigation and communication) of your vehicle, you can deactivate the data transfer with our system via the wireless network connection of the interface for vehicle-related services of your vehicle. Deactivation does not include data transmission for certain emergency services. By activating the private mode or, alternatively, by disabling the remote access in the system settings of the PCM of your vehicle, you also prevent access to information in your vehicle via My Porsche or your Porsche Connect app. As a result, the functionality of the service may be restricted or may no longer be available.
