Questions, answers and help for Porsche Connect

You can use the Porsche ID (personal e-mail address) to register for many Porsche services, websites, apps and log into certain vehicle models. If you have bought a vehicle equipped with Connect, you will automatically receive an invitation before your vehicle is delivered. In some countries, you can even create a Porsche ID yourself.

If you purchased a vehicle with Porsche Connect Plus from a Porsche partner, you will receive an e-mail inviting you to register for My Porsche. If you did not purchase your vehicle with Porsche Connect Plus from a Porsche partner, please contact a Porsche partner near you in order to get an invitation to My Porsche.

Then, click on the link provided in the e-mail. On the next page, request an activation code, which will be sent to you as a text message on the mobile phone number you provided to your Porsche partner. This step is necessary in order to verify that is your correct mobile phone number. You can now set your personal Porsche ID password. You will then see the personal details you provided. Then, accept the general terms and conditions and click on "Create your Porsche ID now and continue".

You must provide your Porsche partner with the following information in order to receive the invitation link: Contact details (name, e-mail address, mobile phone number) and any other information required in specific countries and permission to share personal data.

When you order a new vehicle, you will receive an e-mail with a registration link for My Porsche shortly before delivery or when the vehicle is delivered. The Porsche ID is activated by clicking the link, enabling access to My Porsche.

The e-mail with the registration link may have been flagged as spam. Check the spam folder of your mailbox. If you did not receive a registration mail, please contact your Porsche partner.

If you have forgotten your Porsche ID, please contact Porsche Connect Support.

You can manage you vehicles in My Porsche, view relevant vehicle data there and manage your Connect services, which you can use in the vehicle.

Porsche Connect services are purchased for a specific vehicle. When you sell a vehicle, the booked services are retained and can be used by the new owner during the remaining term of the service contract. It is not possible to transfer booked services to other vehicles.

Information and insight into your order history can be obtained using My Porsche in the Porsche ID menu. The services currently available to you can also be found in My Porsche

Please check whether your type of credit card is supported by the Porsche Connect Store. You will see the supported credit card types at the end of each page. If your credit card is supported, check whether the credit card is still valid. If your credit card is valid, please contact Porsche Connect Support.

You can pay for whatever you purchase in the Porsche Connect Store using a credit card. You will find an overview of all accepted credit cards for your country at the end of each page in the Porsche Connect Store.

The highest security standards apply for the transmission and storage of your personal data. Your details, such as credit card information, address and e-mail address, are encrypted automatically using the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol. SSL encryption is activated as soon as the URL in the address line begins with "https://" or a lock symbol appears in the lower status bar on the Internet browser. SSL the industry standard for the transfer of confidential data over the Internet.

Check that your credit card is still valid. If it is no longer valid, please contact your bank or credit card provider. If your credit card is still valid, please contact Porsche Connect Support.

You will find the 3-digit security code (CVC) for your credit card on the back of the card. If you are using an American Express credit card, you will find the 4-digit security code with the designation CID on the front of the card.

If the password does not meet the specifications, you will not be able to continue with registration. The password must meet the following requirements:

  • The password must be at least 8 characters long.
  • The password must contain at least one uppercase letter.
  • The password must contain at least one number.
  • The password must contain at least one special character (e.g. !§$%&?!).

If you purchased a vehicle with Porsche Connect Plus from a Porsche dealer, you will receive an e-mail inviting you to register for My Porsche. If you did not purchase your vehicle with Porsche Connect Plus from a Porsche dealer, please contact a Porsche partner near you in order to get an invitation for My Porsche.

Personal data must be recorded and processed for using some Porsche Connect services. It is very important to us that you know exactly and can even decide yourself which data will be collected and processed for which purpose and exactly how this will be done. You will find information about this in our Privacy policy. The current version of the data privacy policy is always available from My Porsche.

To enable us to support you even better through our partner network, please give your consent during registration so that we can exchange data with the Porsche partner you have selected. You can revoke your consent for using your data at any time by e-mail.

Your e-mail address for registration can be changed by your Porsche partner or Porsche Connect Support.

If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it at any time using the My Porsche login page.

The order confirmation is displayed immediately after you conclude the purchase in the Porsche Connect store. You also get an order confirmation by e-mail. If not, please contact Porsche Connect Support.

You will find your invoice in My Porsche. You will receive a notification by e-mail as soon as a new invoice is available. Depending on the service, billing can take several working days. If you do not receive an invoice, please contact Porsche Connect Support.

To purchase Porsche Connect services, you need to have an account for which you register using your Porsche ID (personal e-mail address).

Selected services with an inclusive period can be ordered free of charge in the Porsche Connect Store. You can also order other services that may be subject to a charge in the Porsche Connect Store.

Move the services you want into the shopping cart. Then, enter a billing address and payment details and check your order. If your billing address and payment details are already stored in your profile, you can go directly to the order overview by selecting Express purchase.

You can order all services that are compatible with your selected vehicle in your country. For a detailed list of services, go to porsche.com/connect-store and select your country and the vehicle you want. Then, only the services that are compatible with the selected vehicle will be displayed.

Only the main user (owner of the vehicle) can order services in the Porsche Connect Store.

If you purchased your vehicle with Porsche Connect Plus in a private sale, please contact your Porsche Centre to get an invitation to My Porsche. If you already have a Porsche ID account, you can add another vehicle directly in My Porsche.

My Porsche is optimised for the current and most common browsers. Please update your browser and then click again on the link in the invitation you received by e-mail.

A Porsche ID account allows you to manage your vehicles and use Connect services in My Porsche. In some countries, My Porsche provides you with information for using your vehicle and allows you to make service appointments with your Porsche partner, for example.

Registration for the Parking Plus service begins in the Porsche Connect Store. After forwarding to evopark you can complete the booking. After that the Parking Plus card will be sent to you.

Services you have ordered will be displayed in the PCM the next time you restart your vehicle provided your vehicle is connected to the Internet.

There are different ways of doing this, depending on the model:In your Taycan, the data connection is established via the embedded SIM card. You can make and receive calls at the same time using a mobile phone connected via Bluetooth. A separate SIM card slot is no longer available in the Taycan. In all other models, there are several ways of establishing a data connection, depending on the country:

Data connection via the embedded SIM card (available in some countries):If you have established a data connection via the embedded SIM card, you can make and receive calls at the same time using a mobile phone connected via Bluetooth. It is not possible to have a data connection via the embedded SIM card and a telephone connection via an inserted SIM card in parallel.

Data connection via an inserted SIM card:If you have established a data connection via a separate data-enabled SIM card, you can make and receive calls at the same time using a mobile phone connected via Bluetooth. You can make and receive calls using the inserted SIM card in some countries. If you have an LTE connection, it is possible to make and receive calls in parallel with a data connection, depending on your provider. A data connection via the EDGE mobile phone network (GSM)/2G network is switched off automatically when you use the phone.

Data connection via the WiFi hotspot on your mobile phone:If you use the WiFi hotspot on your mobile phone in the vehicle, the data connection will also be used through this. You can also make and receive calls via Bluetooth. If you have an LTE connection, it is possible to make and receive calls in parallel with a data connection, depending on your provider. A data connection via the EDGE mobile phone network (GSM)/2G network is switched off automatically when you use the phone.

The availability and functionality of Porsche Connect services can vary in individual countries and depends on whether the individual Porsche partners provide content in the various countries.

To use Porsche Connect services in another country, you must first activate Roaming in the PCM.

7th generation 911 (up to 2018), 718, Macan (up to 2018) and 2nd generation Cayenne (up to 2017): Select PHONE > OPT > SET PHONE > Roaming (Box ticked: Roaming is activated).

2nd generation Panamera (from 2017): Select Device manager (under SET or DEVICES, depending on model year) > Options > Data connections > Roaming (Box ticked: Roaming is activated).

3rd generation Cayenne (from 2017), Macan (from 2018) and 8th generation 911 (from 2019): Select SET > Device manager > Options > Mobile data > Roaming (Box ticked: Roaming is activated).

Taycan: Roaming is activated automatically. No settings must be configured in the PCM

Activating the Roaming function can result in additional costs, depending on the selected mobile phone tariff or which country you are visiting. We recommend an All Inclusive Roaming option.

To deactivate the data connection on your PCM, please proceed as follows:

7th generation 911 (up to 2018), 718, Macan (up to 2018) and 2nd generation Cayenne (up to 2017): Select PHONE > OPT > SET PHONE > Data connection > Data connections > OFF.

2nd generation Panamera (from 2017): Select Device manager (under SET or DEVICES, depending on model year) > Options > Data connections > Data connections > OFF

3rd generation Cayenne (from 2017), Macan (from 2018) and 8th generation 911 (from 2019): Select SET > Device manager > Options > Mobile data > Mobile data > OFF

Taycan: Select Settings > Privacy and Porsche Connect settings > Private mode > Activate Private mode for all services.

An active data connection will be indicated by a corresponding symbol in the PCM.

It is at the top right (2nd generation Panamera, 3rd generation Cayenne, Macan from 2018, 8th generation 911 and Taycan) or at the bottom left (all other models). The type of data connection is identified by LTE (connection via LTE network), 3G (connection via UMTS network) or E (connection via GSM/EDGE network). If there is no letter displayed, there is no data connection.

If there is an active data connection via the WiFi hotspot on the PCM (available in some countries and on some models), a WiFi symbol will be displayed at the top right (2nd generation Panamera, 3rd generation Cayenne, Macan from 2018, 8th generation 911 and Taycan) or at the bottom left (all other models).

If you want to use your phone only for making and receiving calls, connect it via Bluetooth and deactivate the active WiFi hotspot on your smartphone if necessary. When connecting your phone to the PCM, also make sure that you decline the data usage option. A data usage query may be displayed in the PCM.

To deactivate the data connection, please proceed as follows:

Panamera 2nd generation and Cayenne 3rd generation: Device manager (depending on model year under SET or DEVICE > Options > Bluetooth > Access to SIM card > Deactivate.

911, 718, Macan and Cayenne 2nd generation: Select PHONE button > OPT button > SET PHONE > Bluetooth > Bluetooth devices > relevant smartphone > Details.

All supported Bluetooth profiles are displayed. Connected profiles are ticked. If the smartphone is connected via SIM Access Profile (SAP), please select Hands-free phone (HFP) (hands-free profile). The SAP connection is disconnected and the smartphone is connected via HFP. This setting remains stored for the next connection setup.

The availability and functionality of the Porsche Connect services can vary in different countries and on different models. You will find further information on the availability of the services in your country at porsche.com/connect or from your Porsche partner.

You can store your PIN in the PCM. To do this, proceed as follows:

2nd generation Panamera (from 2017), 3rd generation Cayenne (from 2017), Macan (from 2018) and 8th generation 911 (from 2019):Device manager under SET or DEVICES (depending on model year) > Options > Phone > SIM card > Remember PIN.

7th Generation (up to 2018), 718, Macan (up to 2018) and 2nd generation Cayenne (up to 2017):PHONE > OPT > SET PHONE > Phone > SIM card > Note PIN.

Taycan: You do not need to enter a SIM card PIN.

An "Access Point Name" (APN for short) is used for logging into the network provided by a mobile phone provider. With some providers or SIM cards, it is possible to select several access points and this allows you to connect to the provider via different access points. If you do not know which APN is the right one, please ask your mobile phone provider. You can then store this in the settings for the data connection in the PCM.

Depending on the model, you must enter the 8-digit code in the PCM in order to link the vehicle to your Porsche ID. You will find the pairing code in My Porsche > My Vehicles > Detailed view of the vehicle.

7th generation 911 (up to 2019), 718, Macan (up to 2018) and 2nd generation Cayenne (up to 2017): To transfer your personal services configuration from My Porsche, enter the pairing code under APPS > OPT > Porsche Connect login in the PCM.

2nd generation Panamera (from 2017), 3rd generation Cayenne (from 2017), Macan (from 2018) and 8th generation 911 (from 2019): For these models, you will also find the pairing code under My Account after you have logged into the Porsche Connect app using your Porsche ID. To log on in the vehicle using your Porsche ID, enter the pairing code under Porsche Connect settings in the PCM. Once you have logged in, all Connect services will be available.

You do not need a pairing code in the Taycan.

Make sure that a data connection is established. Real-time traffic information must be activated using the map view of the PCM in the menu Map (Taycan) or MAP (all other models).Further information on activating online navigation can be found in the Porsche Connect operating instructions for your vehicle. Please note that the real-time traffic data is not available for all roads.

GOOGLE® Earth must be activated using the PCM map view in the MAP menu. To do this, go to the map options, which you will find at the top of the PCM screen (Panamera models) or at the right edge of the screen (all other models) in the map view and activate GOOGLE® Earth. For all roads for which a GOOGLE® Street View imaging service is available, you will find a yellow figure - the so-called "GOOGLE® Pegman" - at the bottom right of the map view. You can use this to activate GOOGLE® Street View. You can also activate the Street View function by zooming into the map. Please note that this view is not available while driving in some countries because of legal requirements.

GOOGLE® Earth must be activated using the Map view of the PCM. To do this, go to the map options, which you will find at the top of the PCM screen (Panamera models) or at the right margin of the screen (all other models) in the Map view and activate GOOGLE® Earth.

When Apple® CarPlay is used, any active Bluetooth connections (e.g. for telephony, media playback or news) are automatically disconnected.

You can establish a data connection in the PCM as follows, depending on model and country:

  • using the embedded SIM card (available in some countries)
  • using an inserted SIM card (available on some models)
  • using the WiFi hotspot on your mobile phone (available in some countries and on some models)

Further information on how to establish a data connection in your vehicle can be found in your Driver's Manual.

Activate the WiFi hotspot on your mobile phone. Select the Data connection menu item in the device manager on the PCM or tap the relevant symbol. A search for WiFi hotspots is performed. Select your WiFi hotspot and enter the relevant password in the PCM (at least 8 characters). Once you have entered the correct password, the connection is established.

If a data connection is setup, you will find the destinations saved in My Porsche under: Button NAV > FAV > Stored destinations > Portal Personal POIs.

Make sure that the list of destinations you want is available for the vehicle in My Porsche by selecting the option Update POI lists in the vehicle. If a data connection is established, you will find the destinations you have added under:

911, 718, Macan and Cayenne 2nd generation: Select NAV button > OPT button > SET NAV > Navigation database update > Online update > Portal Personal POIs.

Panamera 2nd generation: Select NAV > DEST > Points of interest > Portal List POIs > Desired POI.

Cayenne 3rd generation: select NAV > FAV> My Destinations Desired POI.

The services will still be available to you until the end of the term of the services registered to you.

You can find out which services are available in your country and which of these services you can configure according to your personal preferences in My Porsche.

Your identity must be verified by means of an official identity document in order to meet the telecommunications laws and regulations in some countries. You can easily verify your identity online using the video identification procedure.

You need a valid personal ID or passport.

Many modern identity documents have security holograms for added security, particularly personal IDs and passports from the European Union, Turkey, Norway, Switzerland, Iceland and USA.

As a user, you can use the video identification procedure free of charge.

The video identification procedure can be used from Monday to Sunday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. CET.

Video identification is carried out by an external service provider - IDnow GmbH. For successful identification, you need:

  • A valid identity document
  • PC with webcam or smartphone/tablet with camera installed
  • Internet connection

The identification process involves a video chat between you and an employee of the external service provider and takes about three to five minutes. During the video call, the employee asks you to hold your identity document up to the camera and flip it in order to check all data and safety holograms.

GOOGLE Chrome and Mozilla Firefox are compatible browsers. Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, Apple Safari and Opera are not compatible.

The following browser settings are necessary for a successful video identification procedure:

  • Enabled access to camera and microphone
  • AdBlocker deactivated if necessary
  • Firewall deactivated if necessary
  • VPN access disabled if necessary

It is not possible to use a compatible browser on a smartphone/tablet. The video identification procedure can only be used via smartphone/tablet using an app. You can download this app free of charge from the App Store® or GOOGLE® Play Store.

You can use Porsche Connect services easily in over 30 countries. There are no roaming charges for using the embedded SIM card, which is available in some countries. Details of the individual Connect services that are available in each country can be found in the Connect Store.

The data function of the integrated SIM card is not restricted by Apple® CarPlay.

Apple® CarPlay can also be used wirelessly, depending on model, country and equipment.Further information can be found in the Porsche Connect operating instructions for your vehicle.

Up to three regions can be updated per update. If you need additional regions, please contact a Porsche partner.

If a data connection is established, you will find the Online Map Update in the PCM under:

911, 718, Macan and Cayenne 2nd generation: NAV button > OPT button > SET NAV > Navigation database update > Online update > Select download package and the desired region if necessary > Start.

Panamera 2nd generation: NAV > MAP > Options > Navigation settings > Map data update > Online update > Select download package and desired region if necessary > Start update > Start.

Cayenne 3rd generation: There is an automatic search for updates to the regions relevant to you. An appropriate message is displayed in PCM as soon as an update is possible.

Depending on the model and equipment, you can connect your mobile phone via Bluetooth, USB, AUX or Apple® CarPlay and access your music. Further information about this can be found in your Driver's Manual.

You can play music from Spotify in your car using Bluetooth or Apple® CarPlay.

Android:You can connect your mobile phone via Bluetooth, depending on equipment and access your e-mails if you have an e-mail account set up on your mobile phone. Further information can be found in your Driver's Manual.

iPhone®:Apple iPhone® does not support this function.

Select the message that you want read aloud and touch the loudspeaker symbol on the PCM.

To use the dictation function, touch the microphone symbol in the message box.

Define your personal destinations (POIs) in the Porsche Connect app. Then, connect your mobile phone to the PCM hotspot.

In order to use all the features of Porsche Connect, you need a vehicle that is equipped with Connect Plus. Connect Plus is available as standard for certain models and in certain countries. Please look out for this option when customising your vehicle. You also need a Porsche ID and an invitation to My Porsche. When you buy a new Porsche, you will receive this invitation from your Porsche Centre.

Services can be renewed in the Porsche Connect Store. A service package can be renewed up to 14 days before it expires. You will see the remaining contractual term of configurable services in the Porsche Connect Store as soon as you log in. You will see the remaining contractual terms of non-configurable services under Services after you log into My Porsche and in the Porsche Connect Store.

The pairing code is an 8-digit code, which you can enter in the APPS menu in the PCM in order to link the vehicle to your Porsche ID account. You will find the pairing code in the detailed view of a vehicle under My vehicles in My Porsche.

There is no need for activation. The Parking Plus card is immediately ready for use.

The Parking Plus service is available throughout Germany in all multi-storey car parks supported by evopark. You will find more information at the bottom of the Parking Plus homepage under Städte (Towns).

In the new Cayenne (3rd generation) you can use the full scope of functions, including the Parking Plus application found in Porsche Communication Management (PCM) under APPS as well as the Connect Porsche app for your smartphone. The Parking Plus card for ticketless entry and exit in evopark in multi-storey car parks can also be used irrespective of your Porsche model.

In the new Cayenne (3rd generation) you will find Parking Plus multi-storey car parks in Porsche Communication Management (PCM) under APPS in the Parking Plus application. If you enter the search term "Parking" or the name of a particular multi-storey car park under NAV, the Parking Plus icon shows whether this multi-storey car park is supported. In both cases you can start navigating to the Parking Plus multi-storey car park of your choice directly.

You will find to Parking Plus multi-storey car parks on your smartphones in the Porsche Connect app once you log in using your Porsche ID. For this, activate the Parking Plus option in the card settings. Then find the multi-storey car parks with the help of the Parking Plus icon in the map view. By selecting the icon, you can display detailed information and additional options for the Parking Plus multi-storey car park of your choice.

Keep your Parking Plus card in a central location in your car. When you arrive at the barrier, hold your Parking Plus card sideways against the window of your Porsche for a few seconds or hold it out the window in the direction of the evopark antenna above the barrier. On vehicles with thermal glazing or an electrically heated windscreen you are advised to hold the card out of the window. The card is usually recognised faster this way.

Yes. You can view your parking history any time – in the login on the Parking Plus homepage. Under Aktivitäten (Activities) you will find a clear overview of the duration, fees and further details of your past and current parking processes. Furthermore you will also receive a monthly invoice for all parking processes. These can also be seen at any time in the log-in area of the Parking Plus homepage under Rechnungen (Invoices).

Yes. Additional cards can be ordered in the login area of the Parking Plus homepage under Parkkarten (Parking Cards). The one-off costs for an additional Parking Plus card are € 5 per card.

I drive up to approx. 10,000 kilometres/6,000 miles per year:If you not only use services like Real-time Traffic Information, but also music streaming, you need approx. 500 MB to 1 GB per month.

I drive approx. 25,000 - 50,000 kilometres (15,000 - 30,000 miles) per year:A data allowance of 2 GB should be sufficient.

I drive more than 50,000 kilometres (30,000 miles) per year:If you frequently use music streaming, for example, we recommend approx. 5 GB per month.

Data usage can vary a lot depending on usage intensity. When you use the WiFi hotspot, for example, data usage can be significantly higher. To download online map updates, we recommend that you use a WiFi network.

Remote access allows you to use the vehicle-specific services, e.g. unlock the vehicle using the Porsche Connect app. As the main user, you must activate Remote access authorisation in the PCM in your vehicle, depending on the model.

Remote access is deactivated by resetting the PCM to factory settings or by resetting the main user's security code. This ensures that only authorised users can access safety-related functions.

Remote access can be deactivated temporarily in the vehicle using the Private mode function. This protects your privacy as the driver in the vehicle.

Yes. The mobile communication connection of your mobile phone is still used even when there are no active data packages. The mobile phone automatically detects that there is no data volume available.In this case, the WiFi hotspot in the vehicle is only used for transferring data from the Porsche Connect app to the PCM. For example, you can display the calendar on your mobile phone in the PCM.

The driver card is an additional security feature, which is used in addition to the vehicle key for driver authentication. As soon as the driver card is not detected in the vehicle while the vehicle is moving, a silent alarm is triggered at the Security Operation Centre.

Note: The driver card is available only with Porsche Vehicle Tracking System Plus and must be taught by your Porsche partner.

The Security Operation Centre is a call centre commissioned by Porsche, which is permanently manned and is responsible for handling cases involving vehicle theft. If the alarm on your vehicle is triggered, the Security Operation Centre will contact you on the telephone number you provided when you purchased the service. You can also call the Security Operation Centre at any time yourself. You will find the contact details in the Porsche Connect app and in My Porsche.

The insurance discounts vary depending on the country.

Please ask your insurer about this. In many cases, discounts are also offered when you insure your vehicle through Porsche Financial Services.

The vehicle has an enhanced theft monitoring system, which evaluates data from various sensors. If a potential theft is detected, a Security Operation Centre is informed. You then get a call as well as a notification on your mobile phone.

It is not possible to actually deactivate the service. However, you can temporarily deactivate some alarm triggers (e.g. by activating Service mode when your vehicle is in the workshop).

The contact details are required in order to be able to reach you if your vehicle may have been stolen and to identify your vehicle. The data is only passed on if your vehicle was stolen.

In some markets, insurance companies stipulate that you must have a Vehicle Tracking System. Compliance is checked as part of a certification process and the system is approved on this basis.

The contract is concluded when the order confirmation is sent to you via the Porsche Connect Store. The service is ready to use shortly afterwards.

You can check the activation status of the service under My Services > Car Security Package in My Porsche. The service is fully activated in compliance with insurance regulations as soon as the activation certificate is available for download.

If the main user has activated Navigation and Infotainment services in the Porsche Connect Store, you can use these as a guest, but only without personalised content. Remote Services via the Porsche Connect app cannot be used in guest mode.

If the main user has granted remote access authorisation, the Breakdown call and PVTS services can also be used.

Registration of the Porsche ID in the vehicle gives you full use of the Porsche Connect world in your vehicle.This includes both the use of all available Connect services and personalisation of service information. The vehicle key for the Taycan does not store any personalised settings. But it does store information about which Porsche ID or which guest used the key last. This can be used to retrieve the relevant settings in the vehicle.

Personal settings for your Connect services, e.g. favourites, radio stations and weather information, are saved in your Porsche ID account. As soon as you log on in the vehicle using your Porsche ID, these settings will be available in every Taycan.

If you have a security code, you can log in with your Porsche ID in any Taycan. The vehicle does not need to be assigned directly to your Porsche ID in My Porsche.

To use the Connect services in the Taycan, however, you must at least be assigned to the specific vehicle as a secondary user in My Porsche. The main user of the vehicle can assign you as a secondary user.

You can delete the mobile phone from the device manager by swiping from right to left. Start swiping at the end of the field showing the name of the mobile phone you want to delete (just over a third of the way down the screen).

You will be billed for Functions on Demand as soon as you activate the function in the vehicle.

Following registration, the Function on Demand data package must be downloaded in the vehicle within 28 days. Make sure that the vehicle has an active data connection during this time and that Private mode is deactivated. As soon as Function on Demand has been downloaded successfully, you can activate it at any time.

This can be done irrespective of the registered account and in guest mode. Make sure that Private mode is deactivated.

To carry out an installation or activation, you must end your vehicle's driving readiness. To do this, move the selector lever to "P", apply the parking brake and switch off the vehicle using the power button. You may also have to close all windows, doors and the tailgate, get out of the vehicle and get all occupants out of the vehicle. You will find the exact preconditions in the description in the PCM.

If you registered for a "Lifetime" Function on Demand package, you cannot cancel this when you sell your vehicle. It remains valid for the service life of the vehicle.

You are legally entitled to cancel within 14 days. You can cancel your registration for Functions on Demand free of charge within this time period. To do this, please contact Porsche Connect Support.

You cannot cancel online software updates or function activation processes once you have started them. Please wait until the relevant process ends.

The time required to perform an online software update can vary. The expected time required will be shown in the relevant message in the PCM.

To remove a vehicle, please log into My Porsche using your Porsche ID. There, you will find an option for removing individual vehicles under My vehicles. Please note that any vehicle you delete by accident must be added again manually by Porsche Connect Support or your Porsche partner.

Yes, you can manage all vehicles that are equipped with Porsche Connect Plus using your Porsche ID.

As the main user of a Porsche Connect vehicle, you can enable other users, e.g. family members, as secondary users for your vehicle and its Connect services. Each secondary user then gets his/her own Porsche ID and can configure the services according to his/her personal preferences. But only the owner of the vehicle can purchase services.

As the main user, you can add a secondary user on the vehicle details page in My Porsche. This person then receives an e-mail containing a registration link.

The secondary user has his/her own Porsche ID and can only use the Connect services in the vehicle that were booked by the main user. A secondary user cannot buy any other Connect services or access the main user's personal data and services configuration.

You can manage, i.e. add and even delete, your secondary users on the vehicle details page in My Porsche.

To change your personal data, log into My Porsche. Click on your name at the top of the screen and select "Contact details". If it is not possible to make a change, please contact Porsche Connect Support.

You can use your personal My Porsche account to add new credit cards or delete existing data. Unfortunately it is not possible to make changes to existing credit card information.

No. Your Porsche ID account remains. You can add new vehicles at any time. You can remove the vehicle from your user profile when you sell the vehicle.

To change your password, please log in using your Porsche ID. You can then change the password in your account.

You receive messages from Porsche, e.g. your invoices for purchases in the Connect Store, via the Messages menu in My Porsche. You can also use it to send messages to your contacts.

If you sell your vehicle, please delete the relevant vehicle in the Porsche Connect portal. This does not affect your Porsche ID.

You can remove vehicles that you no longer own from your profile. To do this, in My Porsche go to My vehicles and select the vehicle in question. In the lower section of the subsequent detailed view you will find the More options area, where you should select Remove this vehicle.

If the Porsche Connect services are not available, there may be a number of reasons for this:

1) No Internet connection

Please first check if you have an active internet connection. You can recognise this by an EDGE, 3G or LTE symbol on your PCM screen. In the case of the Panamera 2nd generation and Cayenne 3rd generation you will find this symbol in the top right hand corner of the screen. For all other models the symbol is on the bottom left.

Important information for SIM card:

If there is no Internet connection, please check first whether you have enabled a data connection for your SIM card in the PCM. Further information about this can be found in your operating instructions. Also contact your mobile phone provider to check whether your remaining data allowance is sufficient. A possible cause can even be a temporary dead zone that has interrupted the data connection. If you are abroad, you may have to activate the Roaming option in the PCM and on your mobile phone.

And lastly, please check that the SIM card and your phone are working. If you have any questions, please contact your mobile phone provider.

Important information for embedded SIM:

Please check that there is no SIM card in the SIM card reader of the PCM.

2) No active Porsche Connect contract

In order to be able to use Connect Porsche services you need an active contract. For this you must agree to the terms and conditions and data privacy policy in My Porsche. Your contract period starts after this.

Some Porsche Connect services include a free inclusive period. At the end of this test phase, the services contracts can be renewed subject to a charge in the Porsche Connect Store. You can find out whether there is an active contract and the length of time remaining in the contract in My Porsche or in your PCM by selecting the menu item APPS at the top of the screen under Service information (Panamera 2nd generation and Cayenne 3rd generation) or in the APPS menu by pressing the OPT button (all other models).

If the reasons given above do not resolve the problem, please contact Porsche Connect Support.

You will see the remaining contractual term under "Services" in My Porsche and in the Porsche Connect Store as soon as you log in.The available services are continually increased and optimised. This means that the services available for your vehicle or your country may change.

Please check first that you are logged into the Porsche Connect store using your Porsche ID. You can only see your vehicle when you are logged in.

To run the Connect app, you need Android 5.0/iOS 9.3 or higher. You will find this information in the App Store.

Please observe the following question on the topic "How does Parking Plus work when entering and leaving a multi-storey car park?" If you are still unable to enter the multi-storey car park (e.g., due to a technical fault in the car park), you can enter the car park as usual by requesting a regular printed ticket at the machine. If, contrary to expectations, the exit barrier fails to open, please use the intercom system installed there. An assistant from the multi-storey car park will help you directly. If any additional adjustments need to be made to the parking transaction at a later point, please contact Porsche Connect Support (contact details on your Parking Plus card or on the Parking Plus Homepage).

The message about available Functions on Demand and online software updates only appears in the PCM after you have successfully downloaded the data package in the vehicle. You must therefore check that the vehicle has an active data connection and that Private mode is deactivated. Also restart the vehicle using the power button.

To get online software updates, you must first have activated the function in My Porsche. Different online software updates are available for specific vehicles. The update may not therefore be relevant for your vehicle. Further information is available from your Porsche partner or from Porsche Connect Support.

An activation or installation process can fail for a number of reasons. Make sure you have met all the preconditions specified in the message in the PCM. Switch off the vehicle using the power button and lock it. Wait for about 10 minutes. Then, restart the vehicle. Generally, the function you want to activate or the online software update will be displayed again.

If other error messages appear, follow the instructions in the PCM or instrument cluster and contact your Porsche partner.
