The settings for Range driving mode are automatically configured for your route, ensuring that you arrive at your destination as quickly as possible.
By adjusting climate mode and maximum speed as required, travel time can be reduced while still maintaining maximum comfort.
Route suggestions always take current traffic information, route, topography and speed into account and are continuously optimised.
Fully electric and absolute comfort are not mutually exclusive. Quite the opposite, in fact. Porsche Intelligent Range Manager (PIRM) lets you minimise travel time on long-distance routes, including charging stops, using active route guidance.
If PIRM is not active, Range driving mode enables you to drive as economically as possible in conjunction with the manual speed limit and air conditioning settings. If PIRM is active in Range driving mode with route guidance, the speed limit and climate mode are automatically adapted to the respective route as required in order to minimise travel time while still maintaining maximum comfort.
If Range driving mode is not active, PIRM performs background calculations to establish whether the destination can be reached more quickly by changing to Range driving mode and the associated efficiency measures. The alternative route is suggested for activation and can also be called up under "Alternative routes" in the PCM. If the driver confirms the route, the Taycan automatically changes to Range driving mode. In particular when calculating long-distance trips involving charging stops, this enables routes to be determined with less travel time.
You require an active Porsche Connect package in order to obtain the best possible route suggestions from the Porsche Intelligent Range Manager (PIRM). This allows the PIRM to access the latest information on the traffic situation as well as relevant charging stations. If the PIRM is used without an active Porsche Connect package, the calculated route can deviate from the optimum suggestion and it is more difficult to plan charging stops.

Your vehicle must have connectivity in order to complete installation. Make sure that Private mode is not activated in your vehicle and that there is also no existing charging connection.
Lock the vehicle and leave it for at least 30 minutes.

You can open the vehicle as usual after a time of at least 30 minutes has elapsed. If your vehicle is not automatically ready for operation, please press the start button.
After successful installation, you will find the "Porsche Intelligent Range Manager" listed as "active" in the menu Settings > Privacy and Porsche Connect > Overview of all Porsche Connect Services.
The next time you are navigating to a destination, after a short time you will receive an additional route suggestion, which has been calculated for you by the Porsche Intelligent Range Manager.
