The entertainment services offer a digital experience in the vehicle and enable the integration of digital media and communication services. This includes the integration of radio content and the use of various online and productivity services. Users can customise their PCM by searching for, installing, updating and managing apps.

We process the following personal data in particular for this:
vehicle identification number
user account
contract data
reception parameters (DAB/FM)

The data is stored for the duration of the request and overwritten when the status changes. Usage statistics are stored anonymously for 12 months to improve service quality.
Using the "Calendar/Conferences" service, you can access your personal calendars at third-party providers from your vehicle. By linking a mobile device, the calendar of this mobile device is connected to your vehicle. As part of the service, addresses can also be recognised in calendar entries and used directly as navigation destinations. Direct dial-in into telephone conferences from an appointment is also possible in the case of supported appointment information.
To allow you to jump to the navigation or telephone conference functions, for example, the calendar content is also processed in our system. Activating private mode means that the online functionalities of the service are no longer available.

The IT usage data is stored until the Porsche ID is deleted. The IP address and user access in the form of log files are stored for 30 days.
In addition, we record log-on and log-off processes in the vehicle to detect attacks on the vehicle systems. This data is stored for a period of 12 months. The legal basis for this is our legitimate interest in improving general cybersecurity. Activating private mode means that the online functionalities of the service are no longer available.
In order to provide the services mentioned above, we use contracted service providers. Please note that the servers of the service providers, on which data is processed in the course of the service, may also be located outside the European Union or the European Economic Area. In these cases, your data will only be transmitted if appropriate guarantees for an adequate level of data protection are in place in accordance with Article 45 et seq. GDPR.

Navigation – Route planning down to the last detail
The navigation services offer optimised route guidance with dynamic adaptation so that traffic disruptions, for example, can be detected in good time and avoided. Map content updates automatically and remains available even in the event of short-term connection interruptions. The system also enables targeted searches for relevant locations.

location data,
contract data,
consumption data,
battery information,
plug type information,
user preferences (charging station provider, charging stations, minimum charge, route type preferences),

In principle, your data will only be stored for the duration of the request or query and will then be deleted. To avoid duplicate requests from multiple users, your data will be stored centrally by a service provider for a period of 30 days and used to allocate corresponding requests and content efficiently.
We use external service providers to provide the services. The servers of the service providers, on which data is processed, may also be located outside the European Union or the European Economic Area. In addition, the aforementioned information transmitted from your vehicle to service providers can be stored anonymously by the service providers and thus used to improve the service or contribute to the services database.

If you select the service via the My Porsche App, you register with your Porsche ID.
We require this information in order to assign your vehicle to your user account and to allow us to check that you are entitled to use the service. The legal basis for this is the fulfilment of a contract concluded with you.

For the Online Map Update sub-function, the servers of the service providers establish the map version currently used by your navigation system and the region to be updated, and check whether any new map material is available. If new map material is available this is incrementally transmitted directly from the external service provider servers to your navigation system.
The legal basis for this is the fulfilment of a contract concluded with you.
In addition, the aforementioned information transmitted from your vehicle to service provider without any personal information can be used to improve the service or contribute to the services database. The legal basis for this is our legitimate interest in improving our service.

Horn & Indicator
With the "Horn & Indicator" service, you can use your My Porsche app to remotely control a horn or indicator signal from your vehicle.
If you issue a corresponding command to generate a horn or indicator signal via your My Porsche app, this will be transmitted together with your Porsche ID to our system and from there to your vehicle.
In order to assign the command to your vehicle, the wireless interface for vehicle-related services of your vehicle transmits the vehicle identification number of your vehicle to our system.
In order to be able to display information about the status of the execution of the command, your vehicle then transmits a status message. The information transmitted by your vehicle will be stored in our system for display purposes. The information is displayed in your My Porsche app.
As a database for creating anonymized usage statistics, we store every service call by your vehicle or your customer interface together with your vehicle identification number and a time stamp for a period of 12 months.
By activating the private mode in the system settings of the PCM (Porsche Communication Management = central control unit for audio, navigation and communication) of your vehicle, you can deactivate the data transfer with our system via the wireless network connection of the interface for vehicle-related services of your vehicle. Deactivation does not include data transmission for certain emergency services. By activating the private mode or, alternatively, by disabling the remote access in the system settings of the PCM of your vehicle, you also prevent access to information in your vehicle via your My Porsche app. As a result, the functionality of the service may be restricted or may no longer be available.
Further information on data protection at Porsche Connect can be found in our Privacy Policy.
Open & Lock
With the "Lock & Unlock” service, you can use your My Porsche App to remotely lock and unlock your vehicle.
If you issue a corresponding command to lock or unlock the vehicle via your My Porsche App, this will be transmitted together with your Porsche ID to our system and from there to your vehicle.
To be able to assign the command to your vehicle, the wireless interface for vehicle-related services of your vehicle transmits the vehicle identification number of your vehicle to our system.
To be able to display information about the status of the command execution, your vehicle then transmits a status message. The information transmitted by your vehicle will be stored in our system for display purposes. The information is displayed in your My Porsche App.
