Active Lane Keeping

When travelling at high speeds, continuous steering interventions keep you in the middle of your lane.
Your vehicle provides support even at low speeds in traffic jams and follows the course of the road.
Unintentional straying from your lane is prevented and the system intervenes if it detects driver inattentiveness.
Active lane guidance uses the front camera and front radar to continuously register the surroundings and helps the driver to keep the vehicle in the selected lane. It combines distance control and lane keeping functions on well-developed country roads and on motorways at speeds between 0 and 210 km/h. The system registers other road users and road markings within the system parameters and keeps the vehicle in the middle of the lane through continuous steering intervention - even in traffic jams. Significantly reduced strain on the driver and greater comfort on long journeys.

Your vehicle must have connectivity in order to complete installation. Make sure that Private mode is not activated in your vehicle and that there is also no charging connection.
The infotainment system will inform you of the existence of a Function on Demand in the "Updates" menu item.

Park the vehicle safely and press the button P (parking brake).
Press the start button for at least one second to end operational readiness.
The Goodbye screen contains information about how installation is to continue. Installation takes place after you have exited and locked the vehicle and disconnected any existing charging connection. After a short wait time, your new function will be available the next time you start your vehicle.

This function requires adaptive cruise control in the vehicle.
Responsibility remains with the driver, who must also maintain the necessary attentiveness while driving. The systems only operate within their technical limits and are intended to assist the driver.
The function can be easily reset by using the direction indicator, changing lanes or braking.
