Your invoice is issued on a monthly basis and charged to the credit card stored in your My Porsche account – you can also access information regarding your contract and your previous invoices.

The Porsche Charging Service integrates e-mobility easily into your everyday life – digitally and flexibly. It combines all the charging options for plug-in hybrid and fully electric vehicles and provides you with access to e-charging stations operated by selected providers. At any time, quickly and easily. For practically unlimited e-mobility.
Following simple registration via My Porsche and purchase in the Porsche Connect Store, you will receive your Porsche ID card and access to our smartphone app. We provide you with a reliable network and clear pricing – all the information is presented transparently on a single invoice. You don't need to deal with separate invoices from the various e-charging station operators.
The Porsche Charging Service helps you to find the nearest e-charging stations quickly and easily.
The navigation system* – or the smartphone app – displays the address, availability and charging capacity of the selected e-charging stations, across different countries and currencies.
The authentication process takes place at the e-charging station: via the smartphone app or Porsche ID Card, which you hold up to the user unit to activate your charging session. During the charging process, you will also receive status information about charging via the smartphone app, conveniently and transparently.
All in all, an intelligent, clear and versatile process to enhance your everyday mobility.

Thanks to compatibility with the type 2 plug, the Combined Charging System provides the option of charging electric vehicles using both direct current (DC) and alternating current (AC). At DC e-charging stations, the connecting cable is attached to the e-charging station. This is only sometimes the case at AC e-charging stations, i.e. you need to carry a charging cable (mode 3) with you if necessary.
The type 2 plug, also known as a Mennekes plug, is currently the most commonly used plug type in Europe for charging using alternating current (AC). In practice, e-charging stations with type 2 plugs are available to all fully electric vehicles (generally up to 22kW, individually up to 43kW) and all plug-in hybrid models.
In order to be able to charge your vehicle at an e-charging station with a type 2 plug, you may need to carry a charging cable (mode 3) with you. This can be purchased directly from your Porsche Centre.
The CHAdeMO plug, used mainly by a number of Asian automotive manufacturers, can charge your vehicle at a rate of up to 100 kW with direct current (DC). The charging cable and plug are attached to the e-charging station i.e. you don't need to carry a connecting cable with you.
The 13 Amp domestic socket corresponds to the conventional household socket. This can be used to charge your vehicle with alternating current (AC) – at a rate of up to 2.3kW – and represents the slowest option for charging your vehicle. 13 Amp domestic sockets can also be occasionally found at public e-charging stations and are available for all fully electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid models. In order to be able to charge your vehicle at a socket, you will need to carry a charging cable (mode 2) with you.

You can also use the Porsche Connect App as well if your car is already activated.
You can authenticate yourself conveniently and easily at many e-charging stations using your
Porsche ID Card. With the integrated RFID chip, all you need to do is briefly hold the card against the e-charging station to activate it and start the charging process.

Service: Porsche Charging Service
The Porsche Charging Service allows you to use the public charging infrastructure to charge your vehicle, as well as planning your journey to account for charging options along your preferred route. You can also access further information about e-charging stations with the help of the Mobility by Porsche app or PCM (Porsche Communication Management).
To use this service, you will need to identify yourself and your vehicle at the respective charging station via the app (Mobility by Porsche or Porsche Connect) or your Porsche ID Card (RFID card). To do this, scan the Intercharge QR code on the charging station with your app before starting the charging process, or activate the charging station remotely in the app or by holding your RFID card against the charging station’s reader. The identification information and charging station marking will be compared with our systems to perform an authorisation check. Following identification via our backend systems, the charging station where you have presented your app or RFID card will be activated by the charging station management on the servers of the charging station operator.
Following successful identification, the charging station is ready for your individual charging procedure.
We use service providers commissioned by Porsche to offer the Porsche Charging Service. Please note that the service providers’ servers on which data is processed as part of this service may be located outside the European Union and/or the European Economic Area.
Upon completion of the charging process, the charging station operator’s servers will send an itemised bill (connection detail record, CDR) to the Porsche charging management system. This itemised bill contains the following data:
- a contract ID generated by Porsche
- the start and end time of the charging process
- the charge quantity (optional)
- the charging location
- the charging station operator
- session ID
For the purpose of individual billing, this data is stored in our systems for 90 days. To produce your monthly invoice, the above-mentioned data is also combined with the following data stored in our systems:
- your Porsche ID
- your first name and surname
- your address
- your credit card number
In addition, the above-mentioned data that is transmitted from the charging station may be stored by the service provider (excluding any personal details) and therefore used to help improve the service or its database.
