    Purchasing the service and downloading the app

    Once you have purchased the Porsche Charging Service in the Porsche Connect Store, you will receive your personal Porsche ID Card in the post. 
    The card is already activated and instantly ready to use. Download the Mobility by Porsche smartphone app from the Apple® App Store or GOOGLE® Play Store – and off you go! The service is also integrated into the Porsche Connect App.

    Find nearby e-charging stations throughout Europe quickly and easily – in selected vehicles*, in the app or via My Porsche.

Description

Overview of your Porsche Charging Service:

The Porsche Charging Service integrates e-mobility easily into your everyday life – digitally and flexibly. It combines all the charging options for plug-in hybrid and fully electric vehicles and provides you with access to e-charging stations operated by selected providers. At any time, quickly and easily. For practically unlimited e-mobility.

Following simple registration via My Porsche and purchase in the Porsche Connect Store, you will receive your Porsche ID card and access to our smartphone app. We provide you with a reliable network and clear pricing – all the information is presented transparently on a single invoice. You don't need to deal with separate invoices from the various e-charging station operators.

The Porsche Charging Service helps you to find the nearest e-charging stations quickly and easily.
The navigation system* – or the smartphone app – displays the address, availability and charging capacity of the selected e-charging stations, across different countries and currencies.
The authentication process takes place at the e-charging station: via the smartphone app or Porsche ID Card, which you hold up to the user unit to activate your charging session. During the charging process, you will also receive status information about charging via the smartphone app, conveniently and transparently.

All in all, an intelligent, clear and versatile process to enhance your everyday mobility.

Please note:
To date, the Porsche Charging Service is available in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands, Spain, France, Denmark, Finland, and Norway. Other countries will be added step-by-step.
Your monthly invoice will be made available in My Porsche. You can download this as a PDF.

Authentication and charging using your app

Once you have purchased the Porsche Charging Service in the Porsche Connect Store, you will receive your personal Porsche ID Card in the post. The card is already activated and instantly ready to use. Download the Mobility by Porsche smartphone app from the Apple® App Store or the GOOGLE® Play Store – and off you go!

You can also use the Porsche Connect App as well if your car is already activated.

Authentication and charging using your Porsche ID Card

You can authenticate yourself conveniently and easily at many e-charging stations using your
Porsche ID Card. With the integrated RFID chip, all you need to do is briefly hold the card against the e-charging station to activate it and start the charging process.

 

Data privacy information

The Porsche Charging Service enables you to search for public E-charging pedestals with the Porsche Charging app and the Porsche Connect app and to use the app or a corresponding RFID card (Porsche Charging Card or Porsche ID Card) to authenticate yourself at the  E-Charging pedestal and start the charging process. In addition, you can call up your previous charging history in the app.

When you use the Porsche Charging Service, the app first logs into our system with the Porsche ID and your personal password. 

Authentication takes place with the aid of the UUID stored on the RFID card in order to establish a connection between the E-Charging pedestal and the charging backend.

We need this information to enable you to use our service and charge your electric vehicle. The legal basis for this is the fulfilment of the contract concluded with you.  

In addition, we also use this information together with the following data for the purpose of creating a database for anonymised usage statistics:

  • Date and time of access, 
  • Duration of visit, 
  • Type of device, 
  • Operating system used, 
  • The functions you use, 
  • Amount of data transmitted, 
  • Type of event, 
  • Location of the mobile device, 
  • IP address, 
  • Device ID. 

 

We store the information for a period of 12 months for this purpose. The legal basis for this is the fulfilment of the contract concluded with you.  

In order to be able us to identify and display your location, your current position will be transmitted to us by the app by checking the location of your mobile device. The transmitted data will generate information about your location and the E-Charging pedestals in the vicinity. The information will then be displayed in the app. The data will be stored in our system for this purpose until the next status change and will be overwritten when the status changes. The legal basis for this is the fulfilment of the contract concluded with you. 

 

In order to display your location on a map, when the location of your mobile device is checked by the app, the location date on which a map display is requested, as well as the map radius you have requested will be transferred from your device to the servers of a service provider. The transferred data is used to determine the corresponding maps for the relevant area. This data is then transferred to your device in order to be displayed. The legal basis for this is the fulfilment of the contract concluded with you.

In order to start the charging process on an E-Charging pedestal, the following data is compared with the data stored in our system for authentication purposes: 

  • A user ID that identifies you
  • The E-Charging pedestal designation

After the customer has been identified, the E-Charging pedestal will be released. To allow you to see the charging process, the following data will be transmitted by our system to the E-Charging pedestal operator: 

  • A contract ID generated by Porsche.

In order to enable the transmission of a charge detail record (CDR) from the systems of the E-Charging pedestal operator to our systems after the completion of the charging process, the following E-Charging pedestal operator data will be transmitted to our systems:  

  • The contract ID generated by Porsche, 
  • Time data at the beginning and end of the charging process, 
  • Charging amount (optional), 
  • Charging location, 
  • E-Charging pedestal operator, 
  • Session ID.

The legal basis for this is the fulfilment of the contract concluded with you.   Your data will be stored for 90 days for this purpose and will then be deleted. 

We use service providers commissioned by Porsche to provide the service. Please note that the service providers' servers on which data is processed in the course of the service may also be located outside the European Union or the European Economic Area.

For the preparation of final monthly billing at the end of each month, 

  • Your Porsche ID,
  • Your first and last name,
  • Your address,
  • Your credit card number

will be transmitted to us by the Porsche Account Management System and merged with the data recorded in our backend (the information about a charging process).

The transmitted data will be used to produce your individual statement. The invoice will then be sent to you. 

Your data will be stored for 90 days for this purpose and will then be deleted.

You always have the option of deactivating the service by giving notice of termination or by allowing the contract to lapse.

The functionality of the service may be limited or eliminated by performing a general deactivation in the system settings.
